July 2007 |
Gallagher Gab

Hard to believe that July is already
upon us. The hot summer days and nights are upon us, and make us
glad that we have pools to swim in. Sometimes those pools can be
hard to balance and control! That is why the folks at Gallagher
Pools and Spas are here! We will help you with all your mid-July
pool needs. Has a mean bloom of algae got you down? Bring us a water
test and we will help you get rid of that troublesome stuff! Run
out of shock, test strips or other supplies? Come on in now while
everything is readily available to stock up! Having a mid-summer
barbecue and need some new toys and floats for the children or grandchildren?
Come on in to see our remaining stock of toys and games! Gallagher
Pools and Spas is the place to go for all your summer pool care
needs! Remember to let your friends know about us if they have a
leaky filter or broken ladder.

Lots of you are telling us about
your fantastic vacations to the Outer Banks, Caribbean and other
exotic destinations! They are wonderful stories, but do not forget
about your pool when you leave. It is terrible to come back from
vacation only to discover that your pool looks like a swamp! Remember
to keep your chlorinator full and running, and correctly balance
your water before leaving. Make those watching your house aware
of your pool maintenance routines so that they can properly take
care of your pool while you are out. You may also want to leave
them our phone number in case something unusual occurs.

This is a good time of year to check
over your Polaris or other automatic pool cleaner. Check over the
hoses and make sure there are no leaks. Examine the wheels and make
sure they are not rubbed down or gummy. On a Polaris, check the
tail to make sure the black tail scrubber is present, and in good
condition, as well as the wear rings that protect the tail. Also
check the white float on the back to make sure it is not full of
water or cracked. Check the screen of your Polaris inside of the
quick-disconnect where it attaches to the wall to make sure it has
not been compromised. We have almost all of the parts for a Polaris
in stock, and can get most of the rest of them within a few days.
Take old Larry, pool-boy, blue monster, creepy-crawly or whatever
you call your cleaner out and give it the once over. You'll be glad
you did.
